Job Summary
The Plasterer/Mason/Tile Setter performs journeyman level repairs and renovation work in the fields of lathing, stucco plastering, masonry, drywall finishing, and tile hard and soft wetting, and is responsible for constructing code compliant structures and read blueprints, while coordinating work with other trades, and assisting in planning and scheduling of PM work. This position is also responsible for all paperwork involved with Fixes, PM's, CM's, and all other projects involving PM, repair, as well as, aiding in the inspection and constructive critique of installations made by vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Require three (3) years of experience as a Plasterer/Mason/Tile Setter preferably in large plant operations.
- Require knowledge of code compliant construction of all phases of fire rated wall assemblies.
- Require capability to design and install superior finishes within the health care setting.
- Require the ability to read blueprints.
- Require knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and recordkeeping.
- Require the ability to read/understand prints/diagrams for buildings and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer working knowledge and understanding of multiple skilled trades relevant to healthcare industry.
- Prefer the ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and general maintenance without supervision.
- Prefer familiarity with computers and related software (Windows Operating Systems).
- Prefer familiarity with codes applicable to field and industry.
- Prefer proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Prefer working knowledge of hand tools pertinent to trade(s).
- Prefer the ability to work with minimal supervision.
