Job Summary
In addition to being responsible for performing the standard duties & responsibilities of the staff Speech Pathologist, this position functions in an advanced clinical support role assisting leadership in the areas of clinical competencies, clinical program development, and quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Require a master's degree in Speech Therapy; Advanced degree preferred.
- Require a minimum of seven (7) years of clinical practice in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in inpatient or outpatient rehab, or acute therapy.
- Require previous clinical instructor for student clinicals with a minimum of two (2) students within the last three (3) years and mentors other new CI's.
- Require a minimum of one (1) level two and one (1) level three certifications from the approved Advanced Rehab Specialist certification list. Must demonstrate how using certifications in practice and bettering patient care/service line.
- Require membership in both State and National level professional association and must be an actively engaged member (i.e. board member, reviewer, disseminates professional organization information to team, participating at some level).
- Require successful completion of the Speech Therapist Supervisor Continued Education Unit (CEU).
