Job Summary
The Clinical Care Coordinator I provides patient care according to age-specific population needs and assists in the management of patient care in a physician office setting under direct provider supervision.
Required Qualifications
Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcare Association (NHA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); or certified EMT is required. Experienced medical assistants with certification from a different agency must register with one of the accepted agencies within 6 months of hire and schedule a test date within this timeframe. Certification must be received and presented to HR within 12 months of hire date.
Basic Life Support/CPR certification is also required, or it must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer date.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician's office practice is preferred. Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record programs is also preferred. Self-direction and initiative, along with knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software, are desired skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is also preferred.
Mandatory Education
High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate is required.
