Essential Duties
The Clinical Care Coordinator I performs various tasks to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery in the outpatient setting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assist with the management of patient flow under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to established medical standards and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or National Healthcare Association (NHA), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP); or a certified EMT is required.
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification is also mandatory; alternatively, it must be obtained within a specified timeframe after hire/transfer date.
Desirable Qualifications
- One year of clinical experience in an outpatient physician's office practice is highly desirable.
- Experience with electronic practice management and electronic health record systems is also preferred.
- The ability to demonstrate self-direction and initiative is essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electronic practice management and electronic health records software along with skill in all Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is highly valued.
Working Conditions
This full-time position requires working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
