Responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant:
· Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and systems
· Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
· Use computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs
· Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
· Fabricate and weld components as needed
· Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems
· Supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects
Qualifications for a Maintenance Assistant:
· Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
· Experience with facilities maintenance and repair
· Familiarity with logic controllers and electrical systems
· Proficient in English, both written and verbal
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
· Basic welding skills preferred
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Leadership skills to supervise contractors and vendors during maintenance projects
