Position Description:   Non-Certified Technician

Position Summary: 

Non-Certified Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair services for customers in a professional and efficient fashion.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Non-Certified Technician Duties and Requirements:

• Perform maintenance and repair services

• Complete multi-point inspections, record all findings on the multi-point inspections

• Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.

• Communicates with Service Advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.

• Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools and events.

• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

• Automotive Service Technicians must be polite, professional, team player and must have strong communication, organizational and customer service skills.

• Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized.

• Make sure the proper paperwork is completed and filed after every job completion.

• Keep your technical qualifications current by finishing any required training programs.

• Take care that the vehicle is cleaner when the job is completed than when the customer dropped it off.

• Other duties as assigned

• Assist in maintaining shop cleanliness

• Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first

Educational: Highschool diploma or the equivalent. 

Experience: None. 

• Tire and lube technician experience a plus but not required

• Automotive repair experience a plus but not required

Special Skills (i.e., licenses, certifications, etc.): Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Professional personal appearance.  Excellent communication skills. Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Non-Certified Technician will be required to move throughout the company facility throughout the shift, and may spend time outdoors in the weather and elements. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods, walk ,bend/twist/stoop, kneel/squat, lift over 50 lbs., and reach overhead.
