CONCIERGE/EVENTS MANAGER
The Saratoga Arms Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel that gives guests a quiet, relaxing and restorative vacation experience. As we continue to provide exceptional service, we need a warm, enthusiastic and detail-oriented concierge and events manager to join our growing team.
PAY STRUCTURE
o $52,000 annual salary (non-except, OT eligible) commission incentives
OVERVIEW
As the concierge and events manager for the Saratoga Arms Hotel, you’ll create a memorable vacation experience for guests visiting Saratoga Springs by interacting with all hotel guests prior to arrival to organize and coordinate dinner reservations, spa appointments, tee times, etc. You will also support the General Manager and the Sales Manager with event management, helping to organize group meetings and small events throughout the year. Your goal will be to provide exceptional service for both our group and leisure guests: helping leisure guests build the perfect Saratoga Springs itinerary and helping group guests execute a seamless event. Your success will help the Saratoga Arms Hotel position itself as the premiere luxury hotel in Saratoga Springs.

REQUIREMENTS
For candidates that have an innate desire to serve others but may not have directly applicable experience, please apply. Please keep the following in mind as you submit your application:
o Experience:3-5 years in a hospitality management position is ideal, but not required. If you describe yourself as warm, empathetic, teamwork-oriented, conscientious and optimistic, you’ll be a great fit and we’ll train you!
o Education: a high school diploma is required, a bachelor’s degree is ideal.
o Skills: you’ll understand how to address guest and employee questions or concerns. You’ll understand how to balance competing priorities in this fast-paced role. You know how to speak to guests in a clear, concise and compelling way.
o Characteristics:you embody hospitality and aim to serve others in everything you do. You understand that the guest experience is crucial to our company’s continued success.
RESPONSIBILITES
As the concierge and events manager, you’ll coordinate the stay itineraries for all incoming guests and plan/execute events for both corporate and social groups throughout the year. You’ll work 4-5 shifts a week, starting mid-morning and working into the early evening. You will be the main point of contact for guests after they book their reservation, helping them secure dinner reservations, spa appointments, tee times, etc. You will also upsell packages, welcome amenities and hotel experiences to incoming guests. You will also plan all in-house events, working closely with the GM and Sales Manager to do so. This includes coordinating with clients after their contract is secured, helping with menu selections, meeting room arrangements and off-site events, as needed.
· Leads post-booking communication with all incoming guests
· Embodies a consistently high level of service in guest interactions
· Builds relationships with vendor partners throughout Saratoga Springs to ensure our guests have access to the high-end, relevant experiences they expect
· Responds to guest communication on the phone, via email and through our in-house text messaging system
· Maximizes company profits with a focus on revenue generating initiatives and upsells
· Manages execution of concierge requests, no matter the lead time between those requests and the guest’s arrival on property
· Maintains a constant, supportive presence on the floor with our guests and team
· Executes daily tasks and routines consistently
· Completes guest requests with urgency and attention to detail
