Arrow Financial Corporation is seeking motivated and ambitious college students for our first Summer 2025 Internship Program at our headquarters in Glens Falls, New York. The pay rate per hour is $18.00. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and explore career opportunities in banking and financial services.
About The Program
Our 10-week, full-time (40 hours per week), paid internship program runs through middle of May to middle of August, and provides exposure to key areas of our business. We are looking for a Marketing Intern.
Interns will participate in hands-on projects, networking events, community service, and mentorship opportunities while gaining a deeper understanding of the banking industry.
What You Will Gain
This internship will have the opportunity to primarily work on community functions (event sponsorships and attendance, donations, volunteer service) and will contribute to better communications, stronger relationships and implementing measures intended to make us better marketers and partners. The Community Team is the outwardly facing part of the marketing department responsible for the philanthropic relationships between community-based organizations and our employees. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to the company’s success.
What We Are Looking For
College students who are eager to learn and take initiative in a professional setting with a GPA of 3.0 or higher pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, English, Journalism or a related field
>? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, team members, and management
>? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills
>? Ability to utilize design and branding software (i.e. Canva)
>? High degree of initiative and confidence
>? Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Essential Job Functions
>? Within our Kadince system explore and create within the event portal
>? Develop materials for deployment of events including: banners, giveaways, logos, and links.
>? Hyperlink development with partners for marketing tracking and back link strategy work to help create a footprint where we are intertwined with our organizations in a positive way.
>? Networking and event skill development
>? Attend and participate in team meetings to understand planning and decision-making processes, gain insights into team dynamics and exposure to various functions and organizational processes.
>? Attend a continuing education event, branch visit and/or participate in a community service opportunity to promote corporate social responsibility.
>? Collaborate with interns from other departments within the company to share knowledge and attend developmental opportunities to build power skills including communication and problem solving.
>? Participate in capstone presentation at conclusion of program, showcasing your learning and contributions to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams.
Physical Demands - Must Be Able To
>? Sit for prolonged periods of time and walk and stand for brief periods of time
>? Repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard
>? Lift and move up to 15 pounds at a time
