Arrow Financial Corporation is seeking motivated and ambitious college students for our first Summer 2025 Internship Program at our headquarters in Glens Falls, New York. The pay rate per hour is $18.00. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and explore career opportunities in banking and financial services.
About The Program
Our 10-week, full-time (40 hours per week), paid internship program runs through middle of May to middle of August, and provides exposure to key areas of our business. We are looking for a Wealth Management Intern.
Interns will participate in hands-on projects, networking events, community service, and mentorship opportunities while gaining a deeper understanding of the banking industry.
What You Will Gain
This internship will provide valuable exposure to the operational side of Wealth Management, with opportunities to contribute to enhancing internal workflows and ensuring the smooth transition to an upgraded record-keeping system. The intern will assist in approving and streamlining internal processes, helping to improve efficiency across various operations. Additionally, will be involved in developing educational materials aimed at both clients and team members to support ongoing financial education and product knowledge. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to the company’s success.
What We Are Looking For
College students who are eager to learn and take initiative in a professional setting with a GPA of 3.0 or higher pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
>? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
>? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, team members, and management
>? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills
>? Ability to utilize Excel functions (i.e. VLOOKUP), pivot tables, and data analysis
>? High degree of initiative and confidence
>? Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Essential Job Functions
>? Assist with the preparation and filling of Form 5500 extensions, which are requests for additional time to file annual report for employee benefit plans, such as 401(k)s.
>? Update and maintain participant records in the record keeping system, assisting in the conversion of our record keeping platform.
>? Assist in digitizing and organization of plan documentation and in preparing reports for clients on plan performance and participation.
>? Aid in 401(k) plan audits by gathering document requests.
>? Attend and participate in team meetings to understand planning and decision-making processes, gain insights into team dynamics and exposure to various functions and organizational processes.
>? Attend a continuing education event, branch visit and/or participate in a community service opportunity to promote corporate social responsibility.
>? Collaborate with interns from other departments within the company to share knowledge and attend developmental opportunities to build power skills including communication and problem solving.
>? Participate in capstone presentation at conclusion of program, showcasing your learning and contributions to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams.
Physical Demands - Must Be Able To
>? Sit for prolonged periods of time and walk and stand for brief periods of time
>? Repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard
>? Lift and move up to 15 pounds at a time
