Fully Qualified ECE English Teacher

Position Overview:

As a Fully Qualified English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, interactive, and developmentally appropriate lessons to young learners, ensuring that each child’s language development and overall growth are supported. Your role will include working closely with students and their families, creating an inclusive classroom environment, and promoting a love of learning through innovative and exciting educational practices.

We are looking for a bilingual educator who is fluent in English and French. Spanish is an additional asset, but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English language and literacy skills to young learners, utilizing creative and interactive lesson plans.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where students feel safe, valued, and eager to learn.
• Work with children to develop both language and social skills, with a focus on emotional and cognitive growth.
• Provide clear and effective communication to parents, caregivers, and school staff regarding student progress.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and language instruction.
• Support students' bilingual development in both English and French, and incorporate Spanish when possible in the classroom setting.

Qualifications:

• Fully qualified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) with certification.
• Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).
• Spanish language skills are a strong asset but not mandatory.
• Previous experience teaching young learners, particularly in language acquisition, is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the wider school community.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
