Saratoga Medical is hiring a (Per Diem/Part-Time) Medical Supply Technician in Cheyenne, WY / Loveland, CO.
Saratoga Medical has an exciting opportunity for a (Per Diem/Part-Time) Medical Supply Technician at Cheyenne, WY / Loveland, CO. This is a great Per Diem opportunity, Up to 1,452 hours annually for Cheyenne, WY and Up to 726 hours annually for Loveland, CO. Work Schedule:
- Flexible/rotating shifts based on facility demand
- No guaranteed weekly hours
- No on-call requirement
- Travel between a few local bases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical supplies.
- Follow VA Government and industry standards for sterilization and infection control.
- Store, package, and distribute sterile and non-sterile medical supplies.
- Maintain records of sterilization processes and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment in accordance with regulations.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure proper instrument preparation and distribution.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Knowledge of surgical instruments used in medical procedures.
- Understanding of sterilization techniques, microbiology, and infection control.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and cleaning equipment.
- Ability to assemble, package, disinfect, sterilize, and distribute medical supplies.
- Completion of mandatory VA training related to infection control and sterilization.
- Proof of medical testing (TB, MMR, Varicella, etc.).
- Compliance with OSHA bloodborne pathogen training.
