What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Security position at Saratoga Performing Arts Center?
Are you a leader with a passion for safety and a talent for managing high-energy environments? SPAC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Security to oversee all aspects of safety and security.
The Head of Security for SPAC oversees and ensures the safety and security of all patrons, staff, performers, and assets within the venue. This role involves managing security personnel, developing and implementing security protocols, and coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services.
- This position has full-time hours from April-September and then on an as-needed basis to be determined.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in a performing arts or entertainment environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) are preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in security technologies and systems.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- physically fit and capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
- flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays to align with event schedules.
