Saratoga Medical has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Technologist at White River Jn, VT. This is a great full-time opportunity, 40 hours work week schedule, Monday to Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Key Responsibilities:
Independently test, evaluate, document, and report patient results and Quality Control (QC).
Resolve issues related to testing, processing, and reporting.
Participate in CAP Proficiency Testing (PT) Program.
Perform routine chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, and coagulation testing using automated and manual methods.
Conduct quality control and instrument maintenance for accurate results.
Perform blood bank duties including crossmatching, antibody screening, and blood product processing.
Conduct microbiology testing, including plating, gram staining, and PCR testing.
Qualifications:
Certification: Nationally Certified Medical Technologist (MT, MLS, or CLS).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Hematology/Coagulation, and Microbiology.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in all laboratory skills required to perform diagnostic tests and procedures accurately.
Certification Maintenance: Continuing education courses for certification must be maintained, and proof of certification must be provided annually.
Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Credentialing: Must be eligible for credentialing and privileging in accordance with VHA Directive 1100.20 and VHA Directive 1100.21.
