Edu Cation And Qualifications
- Must have an advanced degree from an accredited college or university
- Be a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer
- Must have fulfilled all requirements of the NATA Board of Certification exam and state licensure or regulation as determined by New York State
- Be a licensed Physical Therapist
- Must have fulfilled all requirements of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and state licensure or regulation as determined by New York State.
- Demonstrate an ability to perform functions regarding athletic injuries: prevention, assessment, treatment, as set forth by the NATA National Athletic Trainer Association) Board of Certification
- Advise students/athletes and coaches on the proper use of braces, taping, and other devices used to prevent injuries
- Determine an individual's readiness to participate in athletics
- Report directly to Athletic Director
- Provide Athletic Trainer coverage for all home athletic contests, away football games, ice hockey contests, championship volleyball, wrestling and cheerleading tournaments hosted by Scarsdale
