Why Sarepta? Why Now?

The promise of genetic medicine has arrived, and Sarepta is at the forefront. We hold leadership positions in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and limb-girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMDs), and we currently have more than 40 programs in various stages of development in gene therapy, RNA and gene editing. In 2023, we launched our fourth therapy and the first ever gene therapy to treat Duchenne.

The Importance of the Role
 

The Summer Law Clerk will gain exposure to all functions across the Legal department, including intellectual property, contracts, corporate, compliance, international, clinical, and transactions. The Summer Law Clerk will complete one major legal research and memorandum project during the internship.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

• Assist attorneys and paralegals across the Legal department on legal projects of interest to the intern and of importance to Sarepta 

• Legal projects may include conducting legal research, assisting in the review and drafting of basic agreements, assisting in the review and preparation of patent and trademark submissions, assisting in the review and preparation of distribution agreements, and assisting in the review and preparation of SEC submissions 

• Research an area of law relevant to Sarepta’s business and write a memorandum summarizing findings 

More about You

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (chemistry, biology, or related) 

• Completed at least one year at an ABA accredited law school 

• Comfortable with major legal research tools 

Program Timeline:

This application is for a 12-week summer internship program that will start on May 19th and conclude on August 8th, 2025.

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $21 - $25 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
