The Importance of the Role
As a Lab Coordinator for the Andover site, you will play a pivotal role in day-to-day lab operations supporting clinical sample testing and cutting-edge research at our Andover, MA location. In this dynamic role, you will work cross-functionally with several teams across the company to support Sarepta clinical trials including IT, QA, Facilities, EH&S, Finance, and Legal, as well as work closely with the broader Research Operations team supporting lab operations across multiple Sarepta locations.

The targeted salary range for this position is $54,400 - $68,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta’s compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.

The Importance of the Role
As a Lab Coordinator for the Andover site, you will play a pivotal role in day-to-day lab operations supporting clinical sample testing and cutting-edge research at our Andover, MA location. In this dynamic role, you will work cross-functionally with several teams across the company to support Sarepta clinical trials including IT, QA, Facilities, EH&S, Finance, and Legal, as well as work closely with the broader Research Operations team supporting lab operations across multiple Sarepta locations.
The Opportunity to Make a Difference
- Assist with clinical sample receipt and accessioning, as well as help maintain sample inventory and clinical sample chain of custody records.
- Monitor reagent and consumable levels and place orders when needed to ensure appropriate inventory is available to support lab work.
- Support the receipt of incoming reagents, consumables, and equipment and help coordinate and schedule outgoing shipments.
- Maintain equipment maintenance schedules and engage with vendors to ensure equipment receives timely calibration, preventative maintenance, and/or repair.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of facility documents including equipment maintenance records.
- Support new asset procurement and onboarding of new equipment and software, including the qualification/validation of equipment and software.
- Perform routine in-house maintenance and/or cleaning on some lab equipment.
- Maintain constant communication with lab personnel to ensure timely updates on equipment availability, changes to SOPs, and ongoing projects.
- Support digitalization efforts in the lab, including the build out and maintenance of master data in our LIMS system.
- Support the creation of new lab documentation including equipment Risk Based Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor and respond to freezer alarms, as appropriate.
- Provide input and support to projects across other R&D sites, as necessary.
- B.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience required.
- 1-2 years of demonstrated lab operations experience in an industry setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be willing to be on-site 5 days a week and respond to freezer alarms, as needed.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Experience with LIMS, CMMS, or inventory management systems preferred.
