Aerospace Hydraulics Production Controller Sargent Aerospace & Defense is a premier global supplier of custom engineered, high quality products to the Aerospace and Defense Industries. Sargent Aerospace & Defense products are found on many major Commercial and Military aircraft in operation worldwide. Products and systems include hydraulic actuation and valve systems, locking actuators, steering metering control valves, fuse pins, hot forged bolts, pneumatic ducting and valve seals, tubing system alignment joints, engine hot section and structural components, airframe components, shock strut bearings, PTFE lined spherical bearings and broad component maintenance, overhaul, spares logistics and power-by-the-hour support services. Sargent is also a major supplier of hydraulic control valves to the US Navy on all Nuclear Class Submarine programs. Sargent has an immediate opening for an Aerospace Hydraulics Production Controller.

PURPOSE & SCOPE :

Responsible for releasing, prioritizing, and transacting Aerospace Hydraulic work-in-process according to standard practice, policy, and SC&A Code of Ethics.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Work with Planning and Production to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
Responsible for releasing job orders from a workbench and setting priority for critical work centers.
Interface with Procurement on material status and scheduling issues.
Assist in maintaining accuracy of the database.
Analysis Support – shipment plans, changes and effects, gross margin, cycle time, etc.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

Associate’s degree (or equivalent) at a minimum

3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or related field

Experience with production control, expediting, ERP systems, and MS Office applications

Must be a U.S. Citizen

PREFERRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred

APICS / ASCM Certification
