Position Summary
This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The purpose of the position is to provide support to the Manufacturing Engineering Department. This position requires excellent attention to detail. This position requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. Applicants must be good problem solvers, focused on effectiveness, organized, flexible, self-directed, and must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to manage change and frequent interruptions are vital to this position.
Responsibilities
- Support a staff of Manufacturing Engineers responsible for the manufacturing of specialty bearings.
- Improve manufacturing productivity and reduce production costs.
- Coordinates the maintenance of shop floor tooling.
- Develops work order instructions to create tooling.
- Participates in evaluating the state of shop floor tooling.
- Create and revise process bulletins, procedures, and work instructions.
- Work within ERP / MRP system to enter and retrieve data for analysis.
- Assist in the design, development, modification, and implementation of equipment and processes to aid in the overall manufacturing process.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, equipment layout, and establishing and implementing manufacturing plans.
- Ensure proper use of all safety regulations and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Directly interface with production planning to ensure commitments, schedules, and obligations are met.
