Supervises: None

Job Summary: Keeps working areas of establishment in clean and orderly condition.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums hallways, stairs and office areas
• Cleans hallways, lobbies, breakrooms, restrooms, stairways, aisleways and conference rooms
• Dust furniture and equipment
• Wash windows
• Empty waste baskets and recycling containers
• Transport trash, waste, and recyclables to collection area
• Replenish bathroom supplies
• Replenish breakroom supplies (plates, napkins, utensils, condiments, etc.)
• Clean/mop manufacturing floor using industrial floor scrubber
• Set-up/clean-up meeting locations (chairs, podium, sound and video systems, etc.)
• Maintain inventory and request necessary janitorial supplies, includes complying with Sargent and Greenleaf Hazardous Communication Program
• Maintains outside grounds including main and employee entrances, courtyards and dock areas (picking up trash, weeding, pressure washing, snow and ice removal, watering plants, etc.)
• Preforms cleaning and disinfecting of all frequently touched surfaces, including but not limited to; handrails, door handles, vending machines, microwave ovens, and copy machines
• Stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing of hard surface floors
• Keep all janitor closets and storage locations clean and orderly
• Report items of disrepair or in need of maintenance to Manager. Work with service contractors when repairs warrant one.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Manager, service contractors, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:

• One to three months related experience and/or training preferred

Functional Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and bend at the waist; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to use janitorial equipment (brooms, mops, carts, etc.) and will occasionally be required to work near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but some tasks may require hearing protection to be worn.

Salary : $16 - $18
