Job Summary: 

Our company is searching for an experienced Engineer with a focus on electrical and firmware engineering to join our expanding team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and supporting high-security electronic lock systems, which includes both new product lines and enhancing existing solutions. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where the candidate will manage multiple projects, demonstrating high levels of responsibility and ownership.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

· Product Development: Design, develop, and test electronic lock systems, integrating electronic and mechanical hardware, firmware, and software solutions.

· Firmware Development: Code, test, and document new firmware applications or enhancements to existing firmware.

· Hardware Design: Create PCB schematics and layouts for new products, prototypes, and test fixtures.

· Competitive Analysis: Conduct market analysis on competitive products in residential, commercial, and government sectors.

· Documentation: Create, collect and manage documentation to be used for product maintenance and support, including test data and documentation for agency certification.

· Leadership: Lead cross-functional delivery teams and development partners to provide technical support and drive project deliverables. 

· Continuous Improvement: Partner with Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain to drive product and process enhancements. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

· Demonstrated leadership skills.

· Track record of successful project delivery.

· Knowledge of C, C , Java, C#, .NET, Python, embedded programming.

· Experience in the grounds up development of embedded electronics and support components.

· Experience in code management tools such as SVN, GIT, and Perforce.

· Skilled in PCB schematic and layout design.

· Strong knowledge of test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, data acquisition and EMC test equipment.

· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

· Ability to think creatively and seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems.

· Ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Exceptional interpersonal/team skills.

Education / Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a world class manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.

· Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
