Description
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and lead a team of talented staff members to ensure successful completion of engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations, including:
- Conveying scope of work to team members
- Controlling changes in scope
- Status and tracking progress of project scope/schedule/budget
- Maintaining clear and consistent exchanges of information between client and team members
- Leading routine status meetings both internal team members and client
- Tracking and resolving open items and emergent project issues
- Interface with the client managers, stakeholders, and implementing personnel to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction
- Identify and follow up on client needs that may result in strategic business opportunities
- Leverage good client relationships to develop follow-on work from existing clients
- Assist in the development of project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex modifications at nuclear power plants
- Assist in the Development of proposals for Engineering modifications at nuclear power plants
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
- An Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to project team members and client
- Ten or more years of experience in the design of engineering systems for nuclear power plants
- Five or more years experience in leading an engineering design team through all phases of a project design
- Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Detail oriented approach to work
- Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station
