Lead a Nuclear Facility Design Team
This challenging opportunity is designed for experienced structural engineers who wish to advance their careers and lead a team of experts. You will guide a group of skilled engineers, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and directly interface with clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the structural engineering team on projects related to new nuclear facilities and upgrades/modifications to existing power plants
- Apply in-depth knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete design principles
- Prepare, review, and provide guidance for design calculations, develop specifications, and work with designers for drawing development
- Guide the structural analysis and design of complex structures including steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations
Key Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
- At least ten years of experience working as a project team member in the design and analysis of nuclear facility structures
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS)
- Familiarity with design codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, N690, ACI 318, and ACI 349)
