Carpenter/Laborer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. This position involves working on various construction projects, where you will utilize your carpentry skills to contribute to the successful completion of tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in both rough and finish carpentry, along with a strong understanding of construction site safety and procedures.

Duties

• Assemble and install structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Perform drywall installation and finishing, ensuring a smooth surface for painting or wallpapering.
• Execute concrete forming for foundations, slabs, and other structures as required.
• Install cabinets, doors, windows, and other fixtures according to specifications.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project requirements.
• Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps in structures for insulation and aesthetic purposes.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with plastering techniques is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Strong maintenance person skills with a focus on detail-oriented work.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices is essential.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
