Brixey & Meyer, a leading Regional CPA and Business Advisory firm, is conducting a search on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity to support vital functions in Payroll and Accounting within a dynamic team environment.
Join Our Team as a Bookkeeper!
As the Bookkeeper, you will ensure the smooth operation of financial and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Bookkeeper, you will:
- Payroll Management: Process payroll accurately and on time, serve as a backup for payroll duties, and generate reports (e.g., attendance, training metrics).
- Accounting Tasks: Maintain financial records, reconcile vendor accounts, handle invoices and statements, assist with AP tasks, and process customer sales orders.
- Administrative Support: Provide front desk support, answer calls, perform general office duties (e.g., database updates, event coordination), manage supplies, and handle mail.
- Additional Duties: Assist management with special projects, uphold internal policies, and maintain confidentiality.
Your Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of bookkeeping or related experience; familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Paycom) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Payroll systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
