We are seeking a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment. In this role, you'll be an integral part of our SMT production, assisting skilled Electronics Technicians and ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art equipment.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Surface Mount Technology Technician, you will:
- Skillfully assemble electrical and mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete assemblies, including installing apparatus on housing or support plates.
- Guarantee durability and reliability by utilizing machine, hand tools, or power tools to securely fasten, rivet, screw, crimp, seal, solder, or encapsulate components.
- Operate specialized equipment for drilling, tapping, or reaming component parts, enhancing the assembly process.
- Interpret and implement blueprints, specifications, and routers, translating them into high-quality electronic assemblies.
- Meticulously mount components onto panels or printed circuit boards, followed by thorough testing and inspection to uphold high standards of quality.
- Ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality to maintain our commitment to excellence.
- Work with a variety of chemicals for the cleaning and assembly of parts, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Your Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you need:
- Associate’s Degree
- At least 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous machine operator experience
- Proficiency in key areas like soldering, crimping, and Electrostatic Discharge procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Exceptional eyesight and dexterity for handling small parts.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance.
- US Citizenship or green card status, due to specific regulatory requirements.
