Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance personnel.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
- Plan and schedule maintenance tasks, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations.
- Maintain a maintenance calendar and ensure adherence to schedules.
Budget Management:
- Manage the maintenance budget, including expense tracking and implementing cost control measures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and provide training to maintenance staff.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance history and inspections.
Inventory Management:
- Manage maintenance-related inventory, spare parts, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Vendor and Contractor Coordination:
- Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment manuals.
- Generate reports on maintenance performance, expenses, and equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in maintenance, with at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and maintenance management software.
