Minimum Qualifications
Education :
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Completion of an approved Mammography Technology program.
Licenses / Certifications :
Basic or Advanced Life Support certification, required.
Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license or temporary license issued by the Texas Medical Board, required.
Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
Ability to lift and assist with maneuvering patients as part of job duties.

Principal Accountabilities :
Conduct mammography exams, ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols : prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast when needed, position patients, select proper imaging techniques, and ensure high-quality imaging.
Input and manage patient data accurately.
Perform quality assurance and routine maintenance checks on mammography equipment; assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR or other accreditations as needed.
Promptly report accidents, complaints, or equipment issues to the appropriate department leadership.
Provide on-call support for emergencies within the department.
Deliver safe, high-quality care to patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards, including time, supply, and productivity management.
Foster professional growth by completing all mandatory and continuing education requirements; contribute to team and organizational goals; act as a mentor, preceptor, and resource for less experienced staff members.
