Forklift Operator - $20.90 per hour
Location: Eastanollee, GA
Shift: 3rd Shift (11 p.m. to 7 a.m.) (Sunday - Thursday)

Job Summary:
Sark Wire is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our 3rd shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts across various departments, ensuring the smooth movement of materials and maintaining warehouse organization while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Safely load and unload products during shipping and receiving processes.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and departmental materials using a forklift.
- Oversee the organization of the empty reel storage area.
- Transport waste materials to designated outdoor receptacles daily.
- Assist with preparing finished products for shipment.
- Secure products within trailers to prevent damage during transportation.
- Replace forklift propane cylinders as needed, following all safety guidelines.
- Ensure loading docks are properly secured after shipping operations conclude.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall warehouse cleanliness and perform housekeeping tasks as necessary.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two to four years of relevant forklift experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Abilities:
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, memos, and correspondence.
- Ability to write simple reports and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to work with units of measurement such as weight, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply logical thinking to carry out detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to solve problems involving limited variables in standardized situations.
Certifications & Equipment:
- Forklift certification
- Must be capable of safely operating a forklift and basic hand tools.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise levels in the workplace.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Occasional work near moving mechanical parts, exposure to vibrations, and potentially hazardous materials.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands for handling or manipulating objects.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Clear near and far vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to focus eyes and distinguish colors.
