Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Reports To: Quality Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: Competitive based on experience
Schedule: Full-time - 1st shift with flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift when needed.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our Georgia team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet company and industry quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chemical and physical laboratory testing on finished products to meet customer specifications.
- Accurately record and enter all test results into the SAP database.
- Ensure proper packaging of finished products for shipment according to customer requirements.
- Collaborate with operators and managers to address and resolve product deficiencies.
- Perform corrective action studies to enhance product quality.
- Conduct chemical analysis for electroplating lines to maintain quality standards.
- Perform detailed visual inspections to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Monitor laboratory equipment calibration and notify management of upcoming calibration due dates.
- Adhere to all company quality assurance protocols and safety compliance standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in quality control, laboratory testing, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and testing equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform laboratory testing and proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment.
- Experience with SAP database management is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operators and managers.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and production machinery.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
Certifications & Compliance:
- Knowledge of safety regulations and laboratory best practices.
- Willingness to complete necessary training and certifications as required.
