Job Summary:
We are seeking an Junior Integration Technician responsible with 1-2 years of experience for the assembly, integration, and testing of our autonomous surface vessels (ASVs). You will work closely with our engineering and development teams with a mentor to ensure the seamless integration of various components and maritime systems. You will be critical in delivering fully functional ASVs that meet the rigorous standards of the DoD. The hours for this role are 2pm - 10:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- System Integration: Collaborate with engineers to integrate hardware, software, sensors, and communication systems into ASV platforms
- Assembly and Configuration: Assemble and configure ASV components, including propulsion systems, navigation equipment, payloads, and control systems
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of integrated ASV systems
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to integration, ensuring timely resolution to maintain project timelines
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of integration processes, test results, and configuration changes to support documentation and quality assurance requirements
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software developers, and project managers, to coordinate integration activities and achieve project goals
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of integration processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven experience in system integration, preferably in the maritime or defense industry
- Strong technical skills with the ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment for assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, and sensor technologies is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
