Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain the IMS: Create and manage a comprehensive Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the ASV program using industry-standard scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar).
- Schedule Integration: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and testing teams to integrate their schedules into the IMS, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
- Critical Path Analysis: Identify and monitor the critical path, dependencies, and risks within the IMS, providing actionable insights to mitigate delays and optimize resource allocation.
- Baseline Management: Establish and maintain schedule baselines, track variances, and implement change control processes to manage scope, schedule, and resource adjustments.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on schedule performance, including earned value management (EVM) metrics (e.g., SPI, CPI), and provide regular updates to program leadership.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify schedule risks and work with stakeholders to develop contingency plans and recovery schedules as needed.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for schedule-related inquiries, delivering clear and concise updates to internal teams, management, and external partners.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure the IMS complies with contractual requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the IMS, including assumptions, constraints, and decision logs.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, with at least 2 years managing complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Experience in defense, maritime, or autonomous systems programs is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams in a technical environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and metrics.
- Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime vessel programs is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex schedules, identify risks, and propose data-driven solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
