Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle technical recruitment efforts for highly specialized roles, including but not limited to software engineers, robotics engineers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other technical positions within the autonomous systems and defense domains.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand team needs, job specifications, and long-term talent strategy for current and future roles.
- Source and engage candidates through creative sourcing techniques such as networking, LinkedIn, job boards, employee referrals, and specialized talent pools.
- Screen resumes, conduct technical interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications, technical skills, and cultural fit.
- Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance, ensuring timely communication, feedback, and positive engagement.
- Work with the leadership team to develop and implement recruitment strategies that support the company’s growth goals while ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in hiring.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and technologies within the autonomous systems and defense sectors to stay ahead of market shifts.
- Build and nurture relationships with both passive and active candidates to create a pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness and continuously improve recruitment processes.
- Stay compliant with all relevant defense industry regulations, including security clearance requirements, and work within these parameters to find the best candidates.
- 5 years of experience in technical recruiting, with a focus on engineering and software development roles, preferably in the defense, aerospace, or autonomous systems industries.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting for highly specialized and hard-to-fill technical roles.
- Strong understanding of technologies related to autonomous systems, robotics, and the defense industry.
- Familiarity with security clearance processes and experience recruiting for roles that require clearances is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a focus on building lasting relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative to drive results.
- Proficient with applicant tracking systems (ATS), sourcing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent tools).
