Summary
Responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing laboratory automation equipment at customer sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.
- Provides on-site installation and repair of Sarstedt, Inc.’s laboratory automation line.
- Creates and submits complete service reports to the end-user and Service Manager.
- Maintains proper inventory of required parts and tools for repair work.
- Arranges and coordinates travel plans based on customer needs.
- Demonstrates and explains correct operation of equipment to customers.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electronic or mechanical science from a two-year college or technical school; and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, pneumatics and print reading.
- Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees of the organization
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word Processing software
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move more than 100lbs.
- The employee is occasionally at risk of electrical shock.
- This position requires more than 75% regional travel with occasional weekend and/or overnight travel. The employee must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
