- Develops academic/enrichment/recreation programs to meet the needs and requests of youth and/or adults in the school district and surrounding area.
- Manages community education program logistics; including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Recruits, trains, and directs instructors and volunteers in their work in community education programs.
- Acts as the liaison person between the district and the local senior citizens groups.
- Collaborates with local organizations, schools, and community members to promote and enhance program offerings.
- Creates all marketing materials, including class descriptions for the website and printed catalog. Responsible for the creation and publication of the Community Education Newsletter.
- Assesses program effectiveness through feedback and data analysis to inform future planning.
- Performs other duties of a comparable level/type, as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, community education, education, or related field
- 6 months of prior work related experience
- Good organizational and personal time management
- Multi-task and make quick decisions with limited information
- Dealing with a variety of customers and children from all economic backgrounds and experiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication

Under the direction of the Director of Community Education, the Program Coordinator is responsible for creation, implementation, scheduling, supervising, and marketing of youth and/or adult & senior academic, enrichment, and recreation activities. The Program Coordinator recruits instructors, presenters, and volunteers for classes. This position is responsible for providing outreach and integration into the community with district staff.
