As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the full product development cycle-from concept to prototype-and collaborate closely with engineers and scientists in a multidisciplinary environment.

- Onsite Role for our Marlborough, MA location
- Internship duration: 3-12 months
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the full product development cycle-from concept to prototype-and collaborate closely with engineers and scientists in a multidisciplinary environment.
What You Will Accomplish Together With Us
- Design and develop consumables, fixtures, and mechanical components
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models using SolidWorks or Inventor
- Rapidly prototype using tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.
- Test and characterize components, iterating designs as needed
- Program and optimize automated liquid handling systems
- Integrate mechanical systems to ensure smooth operation
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data
- Troubleshoot and refine experimental designs
- Summarize and present findings for internal review
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or Inventor)
- Hands-on experience with mechanical prototyping and testing
- Comfortable with Python programming; GUI development experience
- Familiarity with laboratory automation and data acquisition
- Quick learner with a strong interest in new technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and solution-oriented approach
