Repair Center Manager-Lab Instruments Onsite MI

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Repair Center Manager- Laboratory Instruments to lead our state-of-the-art Center of Excellence in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the efficient maintenance and calibration of our critical LE (Lab Essentials) and BioA (Bio-Analytic) instruments. Your focus will be on driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position will be responsible for managing a team of 12 employees.

What you will accomplish together with us:

• Team Leadership: Lead and develop 12 high-performing team of technicians, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to deliver exceptional service.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations of the repair center, including work order management, inventory control, and resource allocation.

• Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control measures to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging Lean/DBS principles to identify and eliminate waste, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency.

• Customer Focus: Build strong relationships with customers and prioritize their needs, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.

• Financial Performance: Monitor and manage the repair center's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maximizing profitability.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.

• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of the repair center's strategic plan, aligning with the overall business objectives.

What will convince us:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field, OR Military experience in Maintenace functions

• Minimum of 5 years' experience successfully managing technical teams, repair operations, and/or manufacturing/production operations

• Strong understanding of Lean/DBS principles and their application to manufacturing and service operations

• In-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment, particularly Sartorius products (LE and BioA)

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams

• Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., ERP systems, CMMS)

• Experience with ISO 9001 and other quality management systems
