Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to lead our Enterprise Risk Data Layer (ERDL) initiative. This senior management role involves overseeing a broad range of product management functions including strategy setting, leadership, and budgetary management. The ERDL is a foundational component designed to serve as a centralized repository for enterprise risk management data, supporting near-real time data acquisition for key functions such as KRI, Risk ID, and Risk Appetite.
The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in how technology interacts with various business processes throughout the technology development life cycle. You will be a design thinker, domain expert, proven leader, and an effective collaborator capable of influencing both technology and business decisions to strengthen our risk and controls environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Management:
- Oversee day-to-day product management for core offerings, including product delivery, client experience, and communication strategies.
- Develop and manage the strategic program roadmap for ERDL, leading the team through the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
- Capacity and Risk Management:
- Manage capacity planning by securing necessary funding and proactively identifying risks or issues that may impact delivery.
- Identify technical risks and dependencies for the ERDL platform across front line business units, business teams, and technology groups, and drive appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Technical Leadership:
- Define technical workstreams and secure the required resources and talent to support technology product owners.
- Drive decision-making and solutioning with scrum teams and business units to meet business and regulatory commitments.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams, third-party vendors, and risk management organizations to drive effective solutions and plan for the ERDL build.
- Work with solution architects and data providers to develop system architecture, including data sourcing strategies and database design.
- Compliance and Operations:
- Ensure adherence to Operations, Technology, and Functions Technology standards related to program delivery, compliance, process management, risk, and controls.
- Assess risks in business decisions, safeguarding the firm's reputation and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in Risk Management, including regulatory remediation initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in business or risk function transformation.
- Technical & Domain Expertise:
- Solid understanding of banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large, complex financial institutions.
- Subject matter expertise in risk and controls disciplines within technology processes.
- Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional partners in risk management, technology, and front line units.
- Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes.
- Proven ability to manage senior internal relationships and lead change management initiatives.
- Proactive, strategic thinker with a talent for identifying creative solutions.
