Job Title: Technical Architect
Need hands on coding
Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid)
3 days onsite per week
Need locals to NY/NJ within commute
Job Type: 2 years Contract and Extendable
Description:
Tasks & Duties
Lead development and maintenance of code base
Scoping and developing new features and services
Manage cloud setup and management, in partnership with Amazon and the team, including setting up and managing environments, configurations, database management, etc.
Maintain existing features and services
DevOps improvements for scalability and maintainability
Respond to immediate bugs and technical challenges that prevent users from accessing and using the application
Perform testing to ensure application and API integrity
Conduct various testing methodologies, including unit, feature, regression, user acceptance (API), and performance testing, to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Produce reports, metrics, and other stats to measure project and pilot performance.
Provide general programming assistance to other engineers as may be needed.
Design reports that track the project progress as well as create audit trails/logs, security mechanisms in order to provide status to all stakeholders.
Provide assistance to technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves.
Required Skills
3 years of experience developing backend applications and managing application infrastructure.
3 years experience with modern programming languages, including but not limited to JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, PHP, C , or Java
2 years experience in system design and architecture
Experience improving software quality through code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, and proactive changes
Experience with cloud/DevOps tools such as AWS or Azure
Strong communication skills, including an ability to clearly explain the purpose of tasks and key decisions
Preferred Skills
Experience with automated deployment and testing processes
Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch
Experience designing and implementing APIs
