Facility Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. The Janitor will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including custodial duties in commercial and residential settings, as well as floor care and facilities maintenance.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
• Maintain cleanliness in both indoor and outdoor areas as needed.
• Conduct minor repairs or notify management of larger maintenance issues.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required by specific job sites.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Familiarity with custodial equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to residential painting or facilities maintenance is advantageous.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.85 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
