Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Carry out floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain the appearance of surfaces.
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to ensure cleanliness.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities including waste disposal and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs and reporting any maintenance issues to management.
- Engage in industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Support residential painting projects when necessary, contributing to overall facility aesthetics.
Skills
- Proficient in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
- Experience in porter services or commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Strong custodial skills with a focus on maintaining cleanliness in various settings.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing time effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services.
