What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Developer position at Sarver Landscape?
Responsibilities:
- Sell new Landscape Maintenance and Snow Contracts
- Manage existing accounts
- Renew annual contracts
- Write, send and track contracts and estimates
- Track customer satisfaction to ensure contracts will be renewed
- Answer or procure answers to customer inquiries
- Generate and manage account files
- Manage CRM and other operational software
- Generate and submit Site Evaluations
- Send customer surveys
- Follow up on projects and provide updates for on-going projects
- Proactively communicate schedule and changes to customers
- Generate and monitor invoices for accuracy
- Monitor job costing to ensure proper pricing
- Visit and monitor job sites for quality and efficiency
- Attend design-based Install meetings
- Upsell additional services throughout the season
- Develop and manage filing system
- Communicate with customers about accounting or operational issues
- Submit Install, Tree, Snow and Maintenance proposals with appropriate supporting documents
- Communicate and catalog approvals and proposal status
- Attend and contribute to Production and Management Meetings
Administrative & Financial:
- Understand and execute maintenance, snow and install contracts
- Request purchase order prior to purchasing and use in accordance with company guidelines
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures as issued by management

Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Solid knowledge of plant and turf identification and care, including some disease and insect knowledge
- Basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area and square feet
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, of the English language
- Must possess a valid and current U.S. Driver’s License
- Problem solving skills including reasoning and judgment
- Must be able to pass Drug Test and Background Check
- Able to manage time and self-motivate
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of landscape sales and/or account management experience with record of success
- Industry related certification and/or degree
