Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks such as carrying furniture, loading and unloading trucks, and navigating stairs.
Drug and Alcohol Policy All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screening and adhere to federal and state regulations, including compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Background Check Candidates selected for this position will undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive hourly wage, starting at $15 an hour, based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement.
Work Hours/Travel Requirements This role requires flexibility, including availability for evening and weekend work. Some local travel between job sites may also be required.
Employment Status This is a part-time position with eligibility for company benefits after 6 months of being hired on as a full time employee.
State-Specific Requirements Sarver Movers complies with all Texas employment laws, including workers' compensation and fair wage practices.
Pay:
- $15-$22 per hour, plus tips
- Tips average $100-$225 a week
- Performance bonuses
Job Duties:
- Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers
- Gather any moving supplies and equipment needed for upcoming jobs
- Pack customer household goods
- Move and lift heavy furniture up and down stairs safely
- Unpack customer household goods
- Assemble and disassemble furniture
- Inventory items going to storage
- Keep all trucks and trailers clean
Requirements:
- Keep up good physical appearance and good hygiene
- No tobacco use of any kind while representing the company (dipping, chewing, e-cigs)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be able to lift 150 lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must adhere to and follow DOT regulations and requirements
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Must be able to speak and understand English
