Programmer (SQL) (API) (C#)

Position Summary:
The Programmer-Analyst (PA) / Senior PA role is an integral part of the IT Applications team primarily supporting Business Intelligence (BI) as well as other software projects across the University. This role consists primarily of creating and supporting existing web-based data driven dashboards, data driven reports, SQL-PL/SQL queries, data integration (middleware) and related data mining / data analysis activities. General software support and related activities are also a part of this role. Advanced data mining, data analysis and associated SQL skills are required. Experience with relational database(s) such as Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL*Server is required; experience utilizing vendor APIs for data integration purposes and working with cloud/SaaS software solutions is strongly desired. Experience developing data driven dashboards, SQL based reports and data integration solutions (sFTP file transfer and/or API use) and performing associated data analysis is required. Ellucian higher education product suite experience including Banner, Insights, DataConnect and Ethos is strongly desired. Evisions Argos reporting and SQL*Server reporting services (SSRS) report development experience is also desired. Overview:
The Programmer-Analyst (PA) / Senior PA primarily provides Business Intelligence (BI), data integration, query and data analysis services. This role focuses on web-based data driven dashboard development, SQL based report development, SQL-PL/SQL-PostgreSQL query development/support, data mining / analysis as well as data integration (middleware) development leveraging sFTP and vendor APIs. The job scope also includes learning and supporting various 3rd party software applications as needed. The incumbent develops requirements for new software solutions, analyzes change requests to existing applications, translates requirements into technical solutions and performs data analysis. The incumbent also creates / maintains documentation for software applications and processes.
The Programmer-Analyst (PA) / Senior PA collaborates closely with internal customers throughout the University to identify and document project requirements, prioritize tasks, develop business intelligence-data driven solutions and provide data analysis / software support services. The incumbent participates in and/or leads business process mapping and gap analysis activities and well as collaborates with vendors as needed.
Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence (BI) services, SQL development / data mining, data integration development, verification and testing activities; ensuring that software solutions meet customer requirements while ensuring minimal defects. The incumbent is accountable for identification and documentation of risks, defects, and issues throughout a project lifecycle and providing proactive feedback to IT management and/or internal customers. The incumbent may also provide supervision / guidance to student worker(s).

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
