SQL Developer (Web development)

Job Summary:

The Application Consultant is responsible for supporting new software implementations and assisting existing customers by configuring, customizing, and maintaining enterprise solutions. This role involves analyzing user requirements, defining technical specifications, configuring software modules, and providing training. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing operations, software implementation, and programming, with a strong ability to collaborate on complex multinational projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Support New Implementations:

• Analyze user requirements and develop technical specifications.
• Define data interface requirements and configure software modules.
• Collect and document standard business processes with users and operations teams.
• Assist in solver tuning and optimization for enterprise applications.

Support Existing Customers:

• Implement, customize, and maintain enterprise software solutions.
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and upgrades for current implementations.
• Conduct training sessions on software modules for customer users.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience in business and manufacturing operations within the metals industry.
• Experience with software implementation projects, including analysis, design, configuration, coding, testing, and commissioning.
• Hands-on experience with planning, production, or logistics software solutions.

Special Requirements:

• Must have permission to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites.
• Open to participating in extensive training and hands-on learning projects in Europe.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong programming skills, with experience in SQL and/or Java.
• Understanding of relational database structures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and coordinate activities.
• Interest in working on complex, multinational software implementation projects.

Additional Desired Characteristics:

• Experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Prior experience in a consulting or customer-facing role.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid or remote work environment, with frequent on-site visits to customer locations.
• Requires international travel and collaboration with global teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
