Technical Writer

• Excellent command of grammar, punctuation and show great attention to detail.
• Create content free of careless mistakes and that is clear, concise, accurate, and easy to understand. Rewrites should be at a minimum.
• Ability to manage the work load for multiple teams and stay on track with established timelines and deadlines.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of colleagues and have a good understanding of the product you are writing about to write accurate content.
• Ability to work on more complex projects.
• Have command of technical terms and vocabulary commonly used.
• Adhere to the Style Guide and Microsoft manual of style when creating and reviewing existing content.
• Perform peer reviews of user documentation for accuracy and adherence to established processes and style guide.
• Look for ways to improve existing processes or establish new processes that will benefit the team and enhance user documentation.
• Require less supervision to ensure work is staying on track and performance is meeting expectations.
• Have a solid knowledge on the tools used to create user documentation and become a resource that associate team members can come to for guidance and answer to questions regarding these tools.
• Have a solid understanding of the documentation processes and become a resource that associate team members can come to for guidance and answer to questions regarding these processes.
• Take ownership of your role and responsibilities and initiate communication with Lead/Manager as appropriate.
• Represent the documentation team during meetings and intervene as necessary for guidance and clarification.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodology.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
