The Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SSP) Team is responsible for delivering strategic sourcing expertise, value and excellent service to our technical partners and internal stakeholders by working with them to acquire the goods and services needed to maintain SAS’ world-class business environment. SSP procurement analysts support requestors through the procurement process and work together to maximize value and minimize risks when contracting with the selected suppliers.
As an intern, you might:
- Assist analysts with various sourcing activities.
- Assist with Supply Chain Compliance and Responsible Sourcing Programs.
- Shadow Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Compliance/Responsible Sourcing staff.
- Participate with analysts/legal during contract drafting/reviews.
- Provide miscellaneous administrative support.
- Take ownership of one or more projects including development of project charter & work plan with weekly project updated and interim/final project presentations.
- Potential Project Areas include Compliance, Responsible Sourcing, Reporting, Data Analytics, Dashboard Development
Required Qualifications
- Degree Type: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s
- Targeted majors: Supply Chain, Legal and/or Business
- You’re a college student enrolled in an accredited program, not graduating prior to December 2025.
- You have experience with the following types of programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Data Analytics
- You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable. These are our values and influence everything we do.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Leadership abilities. Your past experiences demonstrate you’ll take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty.
- You’re interested in the future of Analytics and embrace technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Procurement/Supply Chain/Responsible Sourcing and/or Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) classes or experience
- Interests in procurement, supply chain, contracting and/or responsible sourcing
Location
- This is a hybrid position based in Cary, NC. Student would be expected to be on campus at Cary HQ 2-3 days per week.
Internship dates:
May 20 – August 8, 2025. We can be flexible on start date if your university is on a quarter system. Internships last 12 weeks in total length.

Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $31 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
