Successful candidates will have a degree in Accounting and 2 years of accounting experience, excellent verbal communication skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with team members. Experience in the Architecture & Engineering industries, as well as with Deltek Vantagepoint, is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Analyzes and processes employee expense reimbursements.
- Processes vendor invoices including distributing to approving parties and ensuring accurate entry
- Assist with vendor check runs
- Communicates effectively with vendors to address inquiries and resolve issues
- Assist with daily cash deposits
- Coordinates with project teams in preparing timely and accurate invoices and in analyzing project performance to anticipate potential overruns, communicating this feedback to the project teams.
- Supports collection efforts by issuing monthly statements to clients and resolving any billing or collecting issues.
- Closes out projects in the ERP system
- Answers inquiries from staff, vendors or clients, and communicates financial information to project managers.
- Accurately and efficiently perform data entry tasks to maintain financial records.
- Performs bank reconciliation
- Records monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
- Supports month and year-end closing processes.
- Detail oriented and effectively communicates within the department and throughout the firm working with staff and management.
- May provide accounting support to other staff as needed.
- 2 years of full time accounting experience, architectural industry knowledge preferred
- Bachelors degree in accounting is preferred but not required
- An understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial analysis consistent with years of experience
- Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative and professional work ethic
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
