Hourly Rate: $20/hr
Primary Function:
The assembler level 1 is an entry level assembly position. The Assembler level 1 should have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate the ability to safely perform simple assemblies using basic hand tools and related production equipment with some technical instruction. Some understanding of assembly schematics and diagrams required.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Complete simple assemblies, using hand tools with some technical instruction
- Quickly adapt to changing work assignments with minimal disruption
- Fine manipulation of bolts, screws and all fasteners
- Safely use hand drills, belt sanders, presses, etc.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers
- Work well with others and function as an effective member of the team
- Maintain organized work area
- Support company goals and projects
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management
Skills:
- Interpretation of written and oral work instructions, part schematics and diagrams
- Mechanical aptitude
Physical Demands:
This job has physical requirements such as: occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; frequent repetitive motions; speaking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds either individually or with assistance. Ability to frequently lift 25lbs individually as needed to transfer completed assemblies to the point of use. Ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts, components and tools used in the assembly process. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
