What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tire Technician position at sasholdings?
As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for mounting and balancing new wheelsets for GM and Ford dealerships. You will also be responsible for dismounting returned scrap rims from dealerships.
Tire Technician Responsibilities include:
Pull wheels and tires from the pull sheet provided by the associate pulling orders.
Dismount new tires from scrap/return rims using the wheel equipment provided.
Mount and balance of newly constructed wheel sets utilizing the wheel equipment.
Clean and maintain the machines and the work area.
Use RF guns to log completed wheel sets.
Look up stock and inventory for wheel components.
Use forklifts to retrieve parts to assemble wheels.
Stack finished product wheels on a pallet by hand.
Use a fork or a hand truck to stage wheels to be shipped.
Assist other operational departments.
Adhere to safety and quality control measures.
Participate in daily huddles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Tire Technician Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to pass the drug test and background check.
Consistent work history and attendance.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to perform repeated actions for extended periods.
Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be attentive to details.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
