Purpose of Job
- The Asset management department is responsible for creating and updating the optimal preventive Maintenance and Inspection program to guarantee highest equipment availability at optimal cost, whilst adhering to and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- This position is accountable for developing and implementing the Asset management vision, mission and action plans across all classes of assets of the North American Operations.
- This position ensures close interaction between the Asset Management department and the execution of its Maintenance and Inspection program by the Maintenance department.
- Directs the Asset Integrity & Reliability Services resources to support strategic and tactical technical activities across North American Operations, while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications (incl RAGAGEP)
- Works closely with peers to understand, align on, and deliver a strong Safety Culture and Sasol strategic priorities
- Development and communication of the asset management programs for all classes of assets. This includes preventive maintenance and condition monitoring services by providing programs, tools, trained people, and well-managed services
- Ensures that all work processes which involve Asset Integrity & Reliability Services are adequately manned, supported, and managed
- Tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators to drive compliance with the asset management programs, as well as regulatory compliance and integrity for all classes of assets
- Providing proper technical support to resolve acute and chronic asset integrity and reliability issues
- Maximizing reliability while minimizing the life cycle costs for assets through incident /reliability investigations and defect elimination on all classes of assets
- Developing and adhering to a department budget
- Identify key competencies needed to deliver the Asset Integrity & Reliability Services program and work with HR to develop and manage an effective succession plan for key roles and key personnel
University Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Working Experience
- 15 years of practical engineering experience
- 7 years of managerial experience
- Sound knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Management style must include values-driven leadership, data-driven decision-making, cultural sensitivity, business acumen, professional demeanor, and unquestionable integrity
- Demonstrated soft skill expertise as it relates to presentations, public speaking, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and relationship building
